The inaugural Watt's Smoke'n BBQ Cook-Off is set to take place October 17–18, 2025, at the John Byron Strait Civic Center in Pearsall, Texas—recently named the Lineman Capital of Texas by the Texas Senate. This exciting new event will celebrate the vital work of linemen, showcase Texas’ rich BBQ tradition, and raise funds for local causes.
Sanctioned by the Champions Barbeque Alliance as an official state championship, the competition will draw top pitmasters from across Texas and beyond. Competitors will vie for a coveted invitation to the Jack Daniel's Championship Invitational Barbecue Competition—one of the most prestigious BBQ contests in the world.
